Glen has worked for Connect-Up since April 1998. He came on board as a cabling engineer and then moved intoproject management & UK sales. Glen is currently General
Manager.
He still works within the cabling side of the company where his duties include visiting many
of our schools, looking to improve their network infrastructure.
He spends his spare time watching football, playing golf and walking in the Dales.

Dave Barber has worked with Connect Up since April 2004. As the Sales Manager he looks after the sales team and also account manages schools in the Leeds area.
In his spare time he is out walking his 4 dogs, yes 4! On a weekend he tries to get away from it all in his touring caravan.

Lee Calvert has worked for Connect-Up since May 2005, and comes from a communication background within the Royal Signals where he was a Systems Engineer.
As the Systems Support Manager he is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Connect-Up Support Team.
In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf badly and traveling.

Darren’s role is to supervise the MIS support team and ensure delivery of service to the Service Level Agreement whilst providing direct support on training and presentations on Data Handling, Sims Dinner Money and Statutory Obligations.

Christine has worked at Connect-Up since Sept 2002 starting as receptionist progressing to Office Manager.
In her spare time she likes to do circuit training and run the tuck shop for her 8 year old grandson Harry’s football team, Wortley FC.

Neil has worked for Connect-Up since October 1996. Working initially as an electrician, Neil moved into the officein November 2006.
Since then he has worked on expanding the company’s electrical division and has established Connect-Up as a primary electrical installer with several established contractors.
He spends most of his spare time watching his 2 favourite clubs, Leeds United & Leeds Rhinos as well as attending every concert or music festival possible. He also helps to run Stanningley ARLFC under 9′s for whom his sons play.

Brian joined Connect-up in April 2010 and has worked in the data industry for more than 25 years and has gained a wealth of expertise and experience.
He initially started as out as a engineer within the industry and has
progressed through into a sales position. Brian’s role within Connect-up is new business development and working with existing clients.
In his spare time, Brian likes to spend time with friends and family, following F1, watching football and supports Aston Villa.

Gareth has worked for Connect-Up since February 2010 having previously worked within MIS, implementing best practises in schools for a number of authorities including Barnsley and Doncaster.
As the Training Co-ordinator for Connect-Up Gareth facilitates and organises the training programmes, liaises with the different venues and provides support to schools.
In his spare time he loves to unwind by playing the piano and composing his own music and he has been known to enter the odd singing competition in his time!

Carl Buckley is the longest running support technician at Connect-Up, having started with the company in July 1997.
He has progressed through the ranks and gained vast knowledge in IT support for both Hardware and Software.

Peter joined us in Oct 2009 following a “5 year stretch” in a Dorset secondary school so has real world experience in Education.
A lead member of the team for attendance, curriculum planning, exams and timetabling, he has provided ICT support at both school and local government level.
He decided to get his mid-life crisis out of way early and was a blacksmith for 3 years between ICT jobs. Being married with two young children, Peter spends most of his spare
time wondering how other people manage to find the time for hobbies. He USED to enjoy painting and sculpting.

Rob joined Connect-Up in April 2009 after 12 years as a contractor, working for blue chip companies on large European implantation projects, local government and many SIMS teams across the North of England.
In his spare time he and his wife love motorsports like F1 and British Touring Car Championship. They travel the country at weekends vising the various BTCC race circuits. They also travel with a group of friends to Le Mans 24 hour race every alternative year.

Ian Joined Connect Up in 2005. He joined the company from the education sector after working in High schools in Leeds and Tameside.
Ian has worked with Sims products for over 15 years and has been involved with Capita’s National pilot projects for Dinner Money and Solus 3.
In his spare time Ian is a keen canoeist and competes at Regional, National and Club International levels. His other main interest is working and performing in the theatre.

As a 1st line support engineer Liam is the main point of contact for the customer -dealing with problems and identifying the quickest and most efficient solution.
He oversees tickets on the helpdesk and ensures support tickets are assigned to and updated by the relevant engineer.
In his spare time he usually finds himself watching football, rugby and various other sports, playing on the Xbox, going to the gym and meeting up with friends.
